DEFINITION OF
OCCUPATION Pro Financial Services will consider all
medical doctors for Pro Plus Disability Insurance. The protection
is based on "Own Occupation" coverage versus "Any Occupation"
coverage. There are important differences between these two definitions
of occupation. Also included below are examples of how Pro Plus
Disability Insurance provides "Own Occupation" coverage for physicians
and for their business partners.
Definitions Own Occupation Coverage.
The insurance industry defines this type of coverage as paying you
benefits when you suffer a disability that precludes you from performing
the major duties of your occupation or profession. Due to its specificity,
this is the most desirable type of disability insurance. Your occupational
definition would be Medical Doctor.
You
would choose your occupational definition from the following list:
Medical Profession
Medical Doctor
Specialized Medical Doctor (Anesthesiologist,
Cardiologist, etc.)
Any Occupation
Coverage. This type of disability insurance will only pay
benefits if you are unable to perform any job, whether it is related
to your current occupation or not. Pro Financial Services does not
offer this type of disability insurance.
