DEFINITION OF OCCUPATION Pro Financial Services will entertain all
professions for Pro Plus Disability Insurance. This protection is
based on "Own Occupation" coverage
versus "Any Occupation" coverage. The
important differences between these two definitions of occupation
and examples of how Pro Plus Disability Insurance would provide
"Own Occupation" coverage for you and your business partners
are as follows.
Definitions
Own Occupation Coverage
The insurance industry defines this type of coverage as paying you
benefits when you suffer a disability that precludes you from performing
the major duties of your specific occupation or profession. Due
to its specificity, this is the most desirable type of disability
insurance.
Any Occupation Coverage This type of disability insurance will only
pay benefits if you are unable to perform any job, whether it is
related to your current occupation or not. Pro Financial Services
does not offer this type of disability insurance.
