Dan

Dan Burns

President & CEO

Dan Burns is the president and chief executive officer of PFS. Dan is responsible for leading the team of colleagues in strategy and execution, developing global carrier partnerships and developing innovative products. More specifically, Dan is credited with developing partnerships with global insurance companies, which allow PFS to underwrite on their behalf for over $100 million of risk on a single individual in virtually every profession. These strategic partnerships have led to the creation of the disability products used by MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, PGA Tour, WTA and NASCAR.

Dan was also instrumental in designing the product and rating structure for PFS’ high-limit disability coverage for large and small corporations, law firms, accounting firms, physicians and entertainers. In addition, he led the team that developed over a dozen new league-wide programs and the first-ever critical injury insurance program, which covers players against specific severe injuries.

Dan is a graduate of Georgetown University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.



Nick

Nick Greisen

Director of Business Development

Nick Greisen is the director of business development for PFS. Since joining the firm, Nick has helped to create and design new products to better fit the needs of athletes, agents and teams today. Before receiving his MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management, Nick played eight seasons in the NFL as an inside linebacker for the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. In 2002, Nick was drafted into the NFL after attending the University of Wisconsin where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, was a four year letter winner on the football team, First Team All-Big Ten selection and team captain.

As a former NFL linebacker and MBA grad, Nick leverages his extensive experience to build insurance solutions that protect the financial wellness of top talent. His network with current players, agents and teams open doors to better serve and grow in the sports disability insurance industry.

Todd

Todd Allen

Executive Vice President

Todd Allen is the executive vice president of PFS, where he has developed relationships with key executives of the teams in Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Basketball Association. These relationships have led to the development of innovative insurance products utilized in all sports by both professional sports teams and league wide coverages. Specifically, Todd is instrumental in working with insurers and reinsurers to streamline the claims process in effort to make it seamless for all parties involved.

Todd, who has been with PFS for nearly 30 years, continues to develop his relationships with insurance companies, professional sports teams, leagues and agents to keep PFS entrenched as the market leader.



Steve

Steve Yoder

Vice President

Steve Yoder is the vice president of PFS. Having been with the firm for nearly 30 years, Steve has developed and maintained relationships with insurance brokers providing them with high-limit disability coverage for individual players and professional sports teams as well as white collar professionals, entertainers and physicians. Acting as liaison between the insurance brokers and underwriters, Steve has helped to manage and streamline the workflow process to provide better quality service for writing disability risks. In addition, Steve has been instrumental in assisting with the development of new products for both individual athletes and professional sports teams.

Steve graduated from Bradley University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.



Jill

Jill Bartnick

Director of Underwriting

Jill Bartnick is the director of underwriting for PFS. With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, Jill evaluates hundreds of risks in the sports, white collar and medical industries to determine their insurability and how PFS can help secure these risks. Additionally, Jill supervises all of PFS' account managers, including oversight of their training, operations and professional development.

Jill earned a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education with an emphasis in corporate fitness and wellness from Iowa State University.



Chris

Chris Hamric

Chief Financial Officer

Chris Hamric is the chief financial officer for PFS. In this leadership position, Chris is responsible for managing the finance department, as well as overseeing the company’s treasury, human resource and employee benefit needs. Chris has over two decades of accounting and business management experience, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, and corporate acquisitions.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Accounting, from North Central College and has his CPA license in the state of Illinois.



Joanna

Joanna Dziekan

Senior Accounting Manager

Joanna Dziekan is a senior accounting manager working at PFS for over 15 years. Joanna focuses on premium trust accounting. Additionally, with her extensive experience, she manages all financial aspects of reporting to insurance carriers and reinsurers. Along with her accounting responsibilities, Joanna also manages all of the company's IT needs in cooperation with its external consultants.

Joanna graduated from the University of Economics in Krakow, Poland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a major in Accounting. In 2008, she also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a focus in Finance from National Louis University.

Caitlin Shiga

Vice President

Caitlin Shiga began working for PFS in 2013.  Caitlin graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelors degree in International Studies with a focus in Asian Studies.
